I am very pleased with the 2009 version except for the "clip art" It's absolutey terrible compared to the 2006 version. Very disappointed!

the best cardmaker program ever

This is our 3rd upgrade and I absolutely love this card maker. We have never had a problem with either installing it our using it. My husband and I both use it and have fun adding photos and clipart, changing the greeting and personalizing it with peoples names. I have emailed a card with no difficulty. There are so many options that you are only limited by your own creativity. People are so impressed with our cards and can't believe we made them. I have embellished some cards with colored glitter which really makes them look so pretty. We haven't bought a card in the store in years so this program has certainly paid for itself many times over. The program adds the Hallmark logo to the back of each card so they look official. There is also a sentence on the back that says that "this card is custom made for you by me". I change the me and add my own name and my own signature clipart. So much fun to create your own cards.

I love this software package. It has tons of projects to use. I love the easy instructions on how to create cards and other things. It is so easy that children can use it. Love Hallmark Card Studio.

Great if you don't have earlier versions

I received Hallmark Deluxe Card Studio 2009 promptly from Amazon with the free shipping. I was looking forward to exciting new graphics and new things in this Deluxe version 2009. It is very disappointing. The install went great and I had no problems with it even though my computer is 6 years old as many reviewers indicated there was an install problem. My disappointment came with the program hardly changing from the earlier version 2008. My earlier 2008 version wasn't the Deluxe and it does exactly the same thing as the Deluxe 2009 version. I would have thought that Deluxe meant it is better than the standard version. It isn't. They changed the opening page and added some new clip art but the cards are almost identical to the earlier version. In fact, some of the cards from the earlier version were omitted. So when a company touts that there over 1,200 new designs in the new version, don't believe them. My suggestion is, if you have an earlier version, don't waste your money on this one. There isn't a noticeable difference. If this is the first time that you have purchased Hallmark Card Studio, you are going to love it. It is so easy, and fun. I rarely purchase a card in the store and I get so many compliments on the cards that I make with Hallmark. I will say they added the digital editor for the photos and that is a plus. They need to work on getting some new cards out there.

The program is easy to use and does a great job. My biggest problem is finding correct weight paper and pretty envelopes to use with the cards. (That don't cost an arm and leg). It would have been good if they would have put an option in to print a design on the envelope while you're printing the address.
